The Mainbiz Association (Korea Federation of Management Innovation, Small and Medium Business) conducted its "Digital Collaboration Factory Textile Consortium Myanmar Overseas Exchange Program" in Yangon, Myanmar, from January 13 to 16. The initiative supports manufacturing SMEs in the textile sector seeking digital innovation and global business opportunities.

The program focused on connecting Korean textile companies’ digital collaboration production and process management systems with local Myanmar production environments.

Participating SMEs explored supply chain management (SCM) solutions, business cooperation models, and new sales channels through technical exchanges with local textile and garment companies.

During the program, the association and the Digital Collaboration Factory Textile Consortium signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Garment Manufacturers Association in Myanmar (KOGAM).

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration, including sharing market trends, technology exchange for digital transformation, joint business model development, and personnel exchanges.

Cha Youngtae, executive director of the Mainbiz Association, highlighted the initiative’s strategic impact, stating: “Through this overseas exchange program, we have been able to expand the digital transformation model of the textile consortium established by the Digital Collaboration Factory project to international markets and lay the foundation for global supply chain cooperation with local companies in Myanmar.”

“We will continue to promote various initiatives to support the global expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises,” Youngtae added.

The program positions Korean textile SMEs to leverage digital innovation for international growth and provides practical models for integrating advanced production management systems into emerging market supply chains.

By combining technology transfer, market insight, and personnel collaboration, the initiative aims to strengthen regional partnerships and enhance competitiveness for SMEs seeking expansion beyond domestic markets.
