Presidio, a global technology services group, has acquired Ergo, an Ireland-headquartered IT business with a base in Belfast. Ergo, founded in 1993, is an Azure Expert Managed Services Partner and was recently named Microsoft Azure Partner of the Year in Ireland.

The Belfast News Letter reports that the acquisition strengthens Presidio’s European growth strategy, merging two complementary firms to broaden digital transformation services for multinational and local clients across the region.

Bob Cagnazzi, chief executive officer of Presidio, said: “This is an important step in building on our strong foundation and bringing together two exceptional teams as we create one of the most innovative and comprehensive technology services companies in the region, while thoughtfully integrating our capabilities to better serve clients at scale.”

Clients and partners of both companies will continue to receive high-quality service delivery, with an expanded focus on expertise, innovation, and scalable platforms to support enterprise IT infrastructure and digital operations.

Paul McCann, chief executive of Ergo, added: “Today marks the next exciting chapter for the team at Ergo and our clients. As part of Presidio, we will play a key role in building on and strengthening the company’s strong foundation in Europe, helping to create a scalable platform for growth while continuing to deliver the exceptional, customer-first experiences our clients expect.”

The merger underscores the critical role professional IT service organisations and institutional partnerships play in facilitating digital transformation, operational resilience, and technology adoption across the European Association and Institutes sector.

By combining expertise, the partnership aims to enhance the capabilities of businesses and organisations navigating complex digital landscapes.
