The Space Force Association (SFA), a US-based nonprofit advocating for the U.S. Space Force, has announced the creation of the National Spacepower Center, a virtual hub designed to educate and analyse space as a military domain.

The initiative will use immersive and simulation technologies to demonstrate the role of space systems in national security, including missile warning, satellite communications, navigation, and intelligence. The association emphasised that the project focuses on education and concept development rather than operational activities.

SFA President Bill Woolf highlighted that senior decision-makers often lack tools to fully understand threats to space systems and the implications for national security. He said the centre will allow leaders to explore strategic and operational concepts defining future space priorities.

The centre will operate virtually at first, with the goal of attracting private-sector support to expand capabilities and reach. Sedaro, a software and simulation technology company, is providing the high-fidelity platform to underpin interactive demonstrations, strategic wargaming, educational modules, and experimentation with space strategy and policy.

Sedaro CEO Robbie Robertson described the platform as “an accessible, high-fidelity environment for understanding the space domain and informing strategic decisions.”

Programming for the National Spacepower Center is scheduled to begin in 2026, with offerings that include immersive learning modules, strategic wargames, interactive demonstrations, and tools for evaluating concepts. The project responds to growing concerns about potential adversaries developing capabilities to disrupt or disable satellites, underscoring the importance of informed space policy and strategy.

Founded in 2019, the SFA promotes education on military space issues across government, industry, and the public, providing resources to strengthen understanding of space as a contested domain.
