Ireland launches transformative strategy to elevate global business events footprint

Ireland has unveiled Business Events 2030, a national strategy designed to position the country as a premier destination for high-value international business events. With an ambition to grow annual revenue by 8% through 2030, the plan moves beyond traditional tourism metrics to deliver economic, social, and environmental value.

Backed by government and industry, the strategy aims to strengthen local communities, bolster 22,000 jobs, and support over 20,000 SMEs through a more sustainable, impact-driven model for business tourism.
